  • Family Background

    Pritam Bhartwan is belongs to traditional folk-JAAGAR, PAWADA and Lok Geet AUJI family. Pritam is bringing traditional folk-Jaagar and Dhol Saagar to the youth in all over world. He is running institute “Hem Lok Kala Kendra” for teaching, Jaagar, Pawada, Dhol Saagar and other tradition instruments. He is also known as “Jaagar Samraat” he has contributed a lots to save the traditional the Jaagar. He is very popular folk singer in the Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand and he is most acceptable person in the world for traditional Himayal folk.

  • Concerts for Mass Awareness.

    Performed at more than 450 locations in various folk festivals of Uttarakhand, 42 major cities of India and folk concerts in USA, Germany, Dubai, Australia, Canada, Muscat, Newseland etc. Recorded more than 50 audio-Video CD/DVD for revive of Jaagar-Pawara folk traditional/culture. .

  • Academic Work.

    Pritam bhartwan has documented folk singing and instrumental playing patterns of all Uttarakhand Jaagar, Pawara, Jhora, Chanchhari, Bagdwali, Achhari-Maantri, Gwaril, Chanpeli, Socialization songs, Maangal, Chaiti, Bhadwali, Maulyar and many regional folk art workshops. Conducted many folk singing and instrument playing workshop for children and youth organized by NGO- Shri Bhubneswari Mahila Ashrwam(SBMA) and Hem Lok Kala Kendra Institute in India and overseas. Trained more than 300 Dalit youths on performing folk song and folk instrument like as Dhol Damaun and Hudka. These youths formed folk orchestra and generated self-employment for their family survival. Attended many planning meetings of Uttarakhand State Cultural department and given academic suggestion which are now implemented in the State..
